The Prey of Love

Love’s Eternal Captive
Inspired by the ecstatic Sufi poetry of Rumi, The Prey of Love is a vibrant meditation on immortality and spiritual protection. The artwork features a dense, rhythmic weave of turquoise calligraphy, a color traditionally symbolizing heaven and inner peace in Persian culture. The fluid, overlapping strokes echo the poem’s central theme: “Whosoever becomes the prey of Love, shall never be the prey of Death.” By layering the script into a luminous, shield-like texture, the artist visualizes the concept of love as a celestial armor—a shield of light that deflects the “arrows” of mortality and worldly suffering.
